Demolition begins on Vincennes Hotel

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) – Demolition crews in Vincennes are beginning the process of flattening the Executive Inn Hotel in Vincennes. The crews on Tuesday worked to demolish the easternmost side of the building.

The property, which was purchased in December by Andrews Oil, a Mount Carmel, Illinois based company.

According to Knox County officials, the site will soon welcome a new truck stop.

Gary Gentry, President of the Knox County Economic Development Corporation told News 10 in early January, “They will put one of their service stations there, but, in addition to that, there’s going to be a substantial balance of property left for future growth and development.”
