Man says shooter is attacking his home

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – It’s a nightmarish reality that no one would want to live, but one man is saying he’s had to deal shots fired at his house on multiple occasions.

David Goble said it started months ago in August.

“In the quiet of the night I heard a shot ring out, and somebody shot the back window of my truck,” Goble said.

Then weeks later Goble said he had another night of bullets blasting.  He said someone came to the end of his driveway and opened fire.

“The neighbors over here, just happened to be looking out the window and seen a vehicle speed off,” Goble said.

That’s when he took some action. He put up a few surveillance cameras and even a new privacy fence. Things seemed to settle down, but then he had perhaps the most chilling episode.

It happened Sunday.

“[It was] nice and quiet, watching TV, then shot rings out and it literally sounded like it was 10 feet away,” Goble said.

Someone had shot in his house.

Goble has lived at his Daviess County home for years and said he’d never had an incident.  He doesn’t know why someone has seemingly targeted his house.

He has called law enforcement and they are investigating, but they told him that outside of increasing patrols, there’s simply not much else they can do. So he’s putting his unsettling problem out in the public.

He Hopes someone knows something.

News 10 spoke with the Daviess County Sheriff’s office. They say they have no leads at this point.
