Coalmont school destroyed by fire


CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) — A weekend fire at an old school building in Clay County was ruled suspicious. Crews continue investigating the fire at the Old Coalmont school.

The fire happened early Sunday morning, and it destroyed the old gymnasium, the roof, and most of the school’s interior.

Without any power to the building, the state fire marshall already called the fire suspicious.
