Travel advisories declared in Wabash Valley

WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTHI) – Below is a list of travel advisories by county that have been declared in the Wabash Valley.

Vigo County is now at a Travel Watch – that means that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public.During a “watch” local travel advisory, only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended, and emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations.

The Vermillion County Sheriff and the Vermillion County Emergency Agency have chosen to continue a County Wide travel Level of WATCH until February 6.

Only essential travel is recommended as blowing and drifting are causing hazardous conditions.

Roads remain at the WATCH level due to packed snow and slick conditions but they are no longer closed. County Highway is continuing to work so residents are asked to please be patient, they have not forgotten you.

Motorists are asked to drive careful and at reduced speeds. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
