Snow spreads far and wide

MARSHALL, Ill. (WTHI) — Road crews worked extra hours to clear off county, city, and state roads in Clark County, Illinois.

The hard work paid off. News 10 found most of the roads around Marshall were passable. The Marshall Police Department used lessons learned from the January snow to help serve and protect this time.

The Clark County Highway Department is using their salt supply quickly, but they’re mixing it with sand to make it last. The department is waiting on 75 more tons, but it’s not in stock just yet. Luckily, some extras they ordered from year’s past is serving the community well.

We talked to one driver who called this an “old fashion snow” and was moving around the town pretty easily on Wednesday.
