Arrest made in Sullivan stabbing

SULLIVAN, Ind (WTHI) – UPDATE 2/11: Indianapolis hospital officials confirm Bruce Adams is listed in fair but stable condition.

One person is hospitalized, and another is behind bars in connection with a stabbing in Sullivan County.

Indiana State Police tell News 10 it happened just after 10:30 Monday night at 635 North Broad Street in Sullivan.

A preliminary investigation finds that, for an unknown reason, a fight broke out between the homeowner and a small group of people that had gathered at the residence.

The homeowner, Bruce Adams, 56, was reportedly stabbed several times with a pocket sized knife.

Adams is now in an Indianapolis hospital with potentially life threatening injuries.

Police have arrested William Grimes, 28, of Merom.

He faces preliminary charges of attempted murder, and battery with a deadly weapon.

He’s being held in the Sullivan County jail.

An investigation continues.
