‘Rockstar’ returns home from Westminster Dog Show

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) – Stegman Rockstar, the 240 pound, four-year-old Mastiff was back home Thursday with owner Kim Wampler following the dog’s opportunity to compete in the Westminster Dog Show.

Stegman and Kim made the journey to the Westminster Dog Show Tuesday. The show was recorded on broadcasted on Tuesday.

He compted in the ‘working group’ at Westminster. Stegman didn’t win, but he looked good trying and just to make it to the show was a huge honor.

Rockstar’s owner says Westminster was a once in a life-time experience.

“Growing up I had always watched Westminster on TV so you know obviously that was something on my bucket list to go there,” Wampler said. “To have him get invited actually get a letter in the mail, inviting my dog to come was just a really proud moment for me.”

Stegman and his ownerhave more shows lined up in the future. This massive Mastiff will take part in a dog show in Terre Haute in April.
