TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Winter weather has wreaked havoc on blood supplies at Indiana blood centers.
All winter long, health officials reported dangerous winter conditions have kept people from being able to donate.
This left supplies at dangerously low levels.
On Wednesday, News 10 talked with the Indiana Blood Center in Terre Haute to see if this weather warm up has had an impact on donations.
Officials say though supplies are stable, they would still appreciate a helping hand.
“We just ask that those who may have a blood drive happening at their place of business, their church any organization, to make sure you take an hour out of your day to go donate. Also please be sure to stop by the donor center here on third street and donate so that we can make sure that we keep that inventory in the plus position, “ Shelly Shearer, from the Indiana Blood Center said.
The Indiana Blood Center in Terre Haute is located at 2012 South Third Street.
