Police investigate after man found dead inside home


INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police in Indianapolis are investigating after a 50-year-old man was found dead inside of a home on Thursday.

According to a release from IMPD, at around 9:34 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to the 2100 block of North Kenyon Street to the report of a person down inside a residence. When police arrived they found Leroy Barker, 50, dead.

An autopsy was performed Friday morning. The Marion County Coroner’s Office ruled Barker’s death a homicide. Detectives have not released suspect information or a specific manner in how he died.
