Arrest made in Casey murder investigation

CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) – An arrest has been made in the murder investigation of a Wabash Valley man.

Clark County authorities arrested 19-year-old Thomas Messina for the murder of Gregory Scott Collins.

Back in January, law enforcement found Collins dead inside his home in Casey, Illinois after an early morning fire.

His dog also died in the fire.

Authorities ruled that fire suspicious during the course of their investigation.

Messina is being charged with first degree murder.
