ROBINSON, Ill. (WTHI) – An Illinois judge rejected a guilty plea for Robinson prison escapee Jared Carter.

The plea suggested a six year sentence for his escape of the minimum security prison. It happened in August of last year.

The proposed sentence is at the bottom end of the scale for his crime.

Carter will be back in court in one month for another hearing. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
