“Blues Night At The Coffee House”


VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) – The Vincennes University Music Department’s Jazz and Blues ensemble held its “Blues Night At The Coffee House” Thursday. This semester’s midterm show featured musical excerpts from popular rock band The Allman Brothers.

The concert was free to the public and held at Beckes Student Union on campus. Students from the music program participate in the event as part of a midterm exam. Dave Parman is the ensemble’s leader, and also is an associate professor VU’s music program. Parman was featured on John Cougar Mellancamp’s 1976 album “Chestnut Street Incident.”

The concert typically welcomes local musicians.
