Indy bar cited for drug and prositution offenses

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Sabor Bohemio, 4002 E. Washington Street, was cited by the Indiana State Excise Police for prostitution and drug related offenses. Five people were also arrested as a result of the investigation.

Officials say a search warrant was issued for the establishment as a result of an investigation that began in October.

“Once an establishment is suspected of being a problem location, Excise officers will conduct an investigation and the appropriate administrative enforcement action will be taken on any violations that are discovered,” Indiana State Excise Police Superintendent Matt Strittmatter said.

Sabor Bohemio and owner Zeferano Alvarez were cited for maintaining a public nuisance, drugs, sex acts, public nudity, and violating the scope of their alcoholic beverage permit.

Four women arrested at the bar are facing charges of dealing cocaine, dealing in a controlled substance, prostitution, and promoting prostitution. One man was also arrested for possession of cocaine. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
