INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Gov. Mike Pence has renewed his effort to win support for a pilot program to establish preschool vouchers.

The governor and first lady Karen Pence visited a preschool classroom Monday morning where they took turns reading to students.

Those students, in many cases, would qualify for vouchers if lawmakers approve the governor’s plan. But it was eliminated in the state Senate. Pence made it clear he will continue a campaign aimed at changing the minds of key senators.
