34 Jobs cut at Sony DADC

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) More than 30 jobs are set to be cut from Sony DADC.

This week, we got several news tips on the job cuts through Report-It on our website.

News 10 talked with a company spokesperson, Lisa Gephardt, Wednesday. She said that Terre Haute’s DADC operation will be shutting down the distribution wing of the plant.

Sony’s distribution plant in Bolingbrook, Illinois will be absorbing the work done in Terre Haute. How much of an impact will this be on the Terre Haute operation?

Of the roughly 1,400 employees, the spokeswoman said 34 jobs will be cut. Their last day of work will be June 1st.

We asked the spokesperson if more cuts were on the way. Gephardt said, “At this time Sony has no plans to cut anymore jobs at the Terre Haute facility.”
