WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTHI) – Spring can’t be too far away since it’s nearly Daylight Saving Time.

The clock change officially begins this Sunday at 2 a.m. But most will set the clocks ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night.

On the spring forward clock you will lose an hour of sleep but the change was designed to provide an extra hour of light in the evening as we start to have more daylight hours.

Fire officials also say this is a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

Working smoke detectors save lives!
