Two kids removed from Vigo Co. home after drug bust


VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A Department of Child Services call leads to the arrest of two people.

On Friday, Vigo County Deputies were called to 4521 E. Rio Grande Road to assist CPS.

According to police, CPS was checking they home when they saw plants they believed to be marijuana growing in the home.

That is when CPS called police.

In the home police found additional marijuana like material and paraphernalia left in plain view.

Deputies also found items used to package and prepare marijuana for sale.

After acquiring a search warrant, police located $5,000 in cash, additional packaging materials, firearms, and more possible marijuana packaged in one gallon plastic bags.

Police also found a handgun with serial numbers that had been altered.

Police arrested 32 year old Lawrence R. Mickelson and 27 year old Amanda K. Folts, both from Terre Haute.
