INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, airport officials reported smoke in the cockpit of a regional jet at Indianapolis International Airport.

According to an airport spokesman, the plane, en route to Newark, had just pushed back from the gate when an issue was detected.

The flight was checked out by the Airport Fire Department. Officials say there was no fire, but there may have been a problem with the plane’s air conditioning system.
