Judge hands down ruling to TH towing company

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A ruling is made on a case we first told you about last May.

Terre Haute Police filed citations against Andrews Towing.

Investigators said the towing company charged people more than the maximum fee allowed by city ordinance.

City leaders in January approved the measure hoping to regulate predatory towing practices.

Investigators say besides over-charging customers, Andrew’s did not put the required information on its receipts.

The judge found the company guilty on six counts of violating the city code.

The must pay the fines by May 1st.
