Emergency siren testing in Sullivan County

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind.- On Thursday Hoosier Energy and the Sullivan County Emergency Management Agency will perform annual tests of county emergency tones.

This check will include activating the horns twice throughout the day.

The first scheduled session is to take place between 10:30 and 11 a.m. while the evening session shall be conducted between 6:30 and 7 p.m.

The Emergency System contains three tones – each to be activated during the tests. Sullivan County Emergency Sirens include a severe weather siren, a hazardous material high/low tone and an air-horn pulse that would be used in the instance of a dam breach.
