CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Police make an arrest in a Clay County, Indiana bank robbery from 2012.

Officials say it was because the same man robbed a bank last week.

Police are holding Alan McCormick of Zionsville, Indiana in the Clay County Jail.

Officials say McCormick robbed the Poland, Indiana branch of First Financial Bank in September of 2012.

The case was highlighted on Crimestoppers two weeks later.

Based on the description at Poland, police had developed McCormick as a suspect not only in that robbery, but also in bank robberies in Morgan and Montgomery Counties.

Last week, a person of the same description as McCormick robbed the Fountain Trust Bank in Darlington, Indiana.

Police found McCormick by tracking down the vehicle he was driving.
