Oscar Mayer’s “wienermobile” makes stop in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Oscar Mayer’s wienermobile was in town this weekend.

Hanna Carlson and Molly Segall have been driving across the country stopping in communities along the way to spread miles of smiles.

Sunday, they spent some time at Carmel’s Walmart on 151st street.

The ladies handed out the iconic Oscar Mayer wiener whistles, stickers and coupons. They even took pictures with guests in front of the wienermobile.

“There’s definitely a spectrum of looks you get on the road. Some people freak out and want to take their pictures. Some people even pull over and even photograph us as we drive by. Some people wave, some people honk and some people, which is my favorite, do the casual head nod to let us know that we’re cool,” Carlson said.

The women are two of twelve people selected from about 1,000 applicants for the one-year opportunity. They say they’re thankful to have cut the mustard and are relishing the road road trip!
