Barr-Reeve falls short at state

The Barr-Reeve Vikings fell just short of their first basketball state title in school history Saturday.

Ryan Fazekas scored 34 points to lead Marquette Catholic to the championship. He set a Class A record with 7 made three’s in the contest.

Addison Wagler and Micah Bullock paced the Vikings. Wagler had a team high 25 points while Bullock scored 23.

The Vikings led by as many as 10 points in the fourth quarter before Marquette Catholic came back to force overtime.
