Suspect pleads ‘not guilty’ in Casey murder case

CASEY, Ill. (WTHI) – Thomas Messina, who was arrested in February for the murder of Gregory Scott Collins, plead not guilty in his preliminary hearing.

Back in January, law enforcement found Collins dead inside his home in Casey, Illinois after an early morning fire.

Authorities ruled that fire suspicious during the course of their investigation.

Messina is being charged with first degree murder.
