One Run for Boston moves through Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – It’s been only a year since the bombing at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

A group of Terre Haute runners participated in the One Run for Boston.

Starting from LA and ending in Boston, runners all over the country participating in a relay for one purpose.

Carrying a GPS equipped baton, the 3,300 mile run is broken up into legs.

In each part of the country, that baton is carried by a local runner.

Runners raising money, and awareness for a tragedy that impacted the nation.

“Well it just, it means a lot… We’re a community just as Boston, we are a strong community just like Boston is a strong community. I think this plays into that favor that seeing something like this come through it brings that confidence we have a community members,” runner Majel Wells said.

The Vigo county runner’s destination is Stilesville, from there the flag and baton continue to Boston.
