TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Another great organization spent the day raising money for disasters.

Baesler’s Market hosted the Red Cross ‘Save the Day’ campaign on Saturday. The day focused on raising money to help the community in local disasters, like those floods we saw back in 2008.

The money donated will help the victims in those types of disasters.

Leaders call it an important chance to give to those in times of need.

“Maybe their house caught on fire or something like that where they need a little assistance at that time and they don’t really have any where to turn,” said Brandon Henman, Red Cross.

$0.90 of every dollar raised on Saturday will go to help local victims.
