Tyson Foods recalls chicken nuggets sold at Sam’s Club

ARKANSAS (WTHI) – Tyson Foods, Inc. announced a voluntary recall of five pound bags of frozen Tyson white meat chicken nuggets that were sold at Sam’s Club locations nationwide.

Consumers who contacted the company stated they found small pieces of plastic in the nuggets.

Consumers who purchased five pound bags of frozen, fully-cooked, Tyson white meat should compare the product identifiers:

UPC: 0-23700-02178 6 or 300-23700-02178 7
Item #: 16142-928

Manufacturer’s Code: 0264SDL0315 through 0319 or 0474SDL0311 through 0314

Lots feature ‘best if used by’ dates of Jan. 26, 2015 or Feb. 16, 2015

If a consumer has a bag of affected product, discard the product, cut the UPC and date code from the back and mail it to Tyson Foods – CP631, P.O. Box 2020, Springdale, AR, 72765-9989 for a full refund.

Products sold in smaller packages or at any other retailer are NOT affected by this recall.

Another recall from Tyson Foods, Inc. include 40 cases of Spare Time brand fully cooked nugget shaped chicken breast pattie fritters with rib meat (item # 16142-861) in 20 pound bulk cases sold in Indiana and Arkansas.

The bulk cases have the same manufacturing codes and ‘use by’ dates as listed above.
