Kawanis Club Chili Day and Silent Auction

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – On Tuesday the Kawanis Club of Terre Haute held their 20th annual Chili Day and Silent Auction.

The event runs until 7:30 p.m., tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the door. Preparers used their own special recipes for the chili and it can be packed for carry out and delivery.

The event also features a silent auction of items donated by local businesses.

Organizers say its all for a good cause.

“We work on supporting Riley’s Children’s Hospital.  We have a ‘bring up grades program.’  We build a fence for challenged children at one of the local schools and we’ve done the geography quiz bowl,” said Jerry Cockrell, Kiwanis Club of Terre Haute. “We’ve got a lot of projects that we work on.”
