INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Governor Mike Pence and the First Lady of Indiana headed overseas Saturday on a foreign trade mission.

Pence says for the next five day,s he will be meeting with German businesses that are prospective investors in the Hoosier state, as well as hosting a reception in Berlin for potential investors.

He’ll also be stopping by companies that already have a presence in Indiana.

“We just believe Indiana is a state that works, and being able to travel to Germany and share our progress that Indiana is making and encourage more investment from German businesses—many which are already located here in Indiana—is a great opportunity for us and we relish the chance to go tell Indiana’s story,” Pence said.

The governor took a similar trip to Japan last year.

Gov. Pence’s office says this trip is being financed by private donations
