TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – One Wabash Valley man is behind bars in connection with a fire from May 2013.

It happened at a home on 13th and 4th Avenue in Terre Haute.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the house’s attic in flames.

The attic had been remodeled and turned into living quarters.

Authorities say investigators found evidence of a meth lab.

This led to the arrest of Kevin Newman.

“He was arrested about a week ago with charges of dealing methamphetamine. When he was arrested he had methamphetamine on his person so he was additionally charged with that. And he had another outstanding probation violation warrant,” Arson investigator Norm Loudermilk said.
