TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Local school leaders discussed a pressing social issue.

The group, Terre Haute Tomorrow, consists of school and business leaders. They meet periodically to brainstorm how to improve the city.

One of the topics today was increasing diversity in local business outlets.

Vigo County Schools explained a program where minority students were able to experience intensive internships.

Leaders from the group say Terre Haute Tomorrow takes on important topics.

“People from different walks of life, different cultures, sex, it deals with all the males. So it’s not just one thing,” said Mel Burks, Hamilton Center CEO.
