TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – One Wabash Valley charity is looking to help those who protect and serve.

The Soggy Donuts fund was started back in June of 2008.

It raises money for law enforcement officers who need help when natural disasters strike.

On Friday, the charity held its annual golf outing.

Organizers say they want to help as many people as they can.

“It gives back to the community. It gives back to the policemen – the people that are serving the community get a little bit of help. That’s why our theme is Helping the Heroes,” Terre Haute Police Officer Brad Newman said.
