TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Getting kids fit for 2014! Kids from all over the Wabash Valley were having fun and games at the Booker T. Washington Community Center on Saturday.

Kids participated in the ‘Kid Fit’ event where they could take part in all kinds of activities for free.

Activities included Zumba, snacks and being able to win some prizes.

While it’s all about getting children to adopt healthier lifestyles and getting active, It’s also about finding families for foster care and adoption.

“We’re just really super excited that we have a lot of families that have come out to the Indiana Adoption program table and requested information to be foster adoptive parents,” said Kristi Cundiff, Kid Fit.

Kid Fit 2014 was sponsored by the Wabash Valley chapter of the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children.
