TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – There is a new name to bring together two community fitness centers.
A lot of growth is happening at the Vigo and Clay County YMCA centers.
To celebrate, a new name is being introduced.
It will be called the YMCA’s of the Wabash Valley.
Services will not change for members.
The new title brings more opportunities to each facility.
“Each branch now has an advisory council, so local volunteers that are able to help make local decisions so they know the needs of the community. They’re going to help the Y make even more of a positive impact on the community,” Deborah Ringo, CEO of both the Clay County and Vigo County YMCA said.
Want to get involved? The YMCA is always looking for volunteers! Just stop at the front desk of your new Y for more information.
