One of the great things about sports. At times athletes can do things they never dreamed possible. Recently that came true for a very special local young baseball player.
Few in the West Terre Haute Little League love baseball more than Brice Taylor. Unfortunately the 10-year old has had to enjoy baseball vicariously through his brothers and friends. Back in 2008 he was diagnosed with a unique form of Epilepsy. Taylor suffers anywhere from 70-80 seizures a day. He has a a rare gene disease, he’s number eight out of 11 diagnosed in the world.
Thursday before his teams little league game, Brice took to his field of dreams. He not only received a uniform, but was able to step in the batters box to take a few swings. Taylor got a hit and with his teammates, friends, family and fans cheering him on he even ran the bases, sliding into home.
