Finding Animals a Forever Home

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A chance to find animals a forever home this weekend. Several Wabash Valley humane societies worked together to find their shelter animals new families. Petsmart Charities in Terre Haute hosted an adoption weekend. This event happens four times a year. It’s a chance for the community to support local shelters, but it also finds these orphaned animals a place to call home.

“It’s a way for all the shelters to work together and get as many animals out as possible.”

As of this afternoon, more than 120 animals were adopted in just the last two days. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
