Early morning accident injures one

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Indiana State Police responded to an early morning accident on U.S. 41 on Thursday.

Officials report a black 2001 Nissan pickup driven by Brian McKenzie, 32 of Terre Haute, was on Old 1st Street Road and drove across the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 into the path of a red Nissan SUV.

This caused a broadside collision. McKenzie was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

The SUV was driven by Bobby Harrison, 46 of Richmond. He was taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital with neck and back pain.
