TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – One fraternity decided to help out a local organization on Saturday in a big way.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s Lambda Chi Alpha hosted their annual ‘Run for Kid’s Sake’ event at Hawthorne Park.

All of the money raised on Saturday will go to help out the organization Big Brothers, Big Sisters – one organization close to the fraternity’s heart.

“To us, we really just want to help out the community kids here in Terre Haute,” explained Jacob Rigelman, VP of Lambda Chi Alpha. “We felt this was a good way for us to do that.”

Union Hospital also helped sponsor the event. Participants could do a 5k run or a 3k walk.
