TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hosted a ‘Stomp Out Pancreatic Cancer’ event on Saturday.

The event was a cheerleading event to raise money to support one of their own. Bretta Schriner works at RHIT and has been battling pancreatic cancer for the past two years.

“It’s very important to me to spread the word about what pancreatic cancer is, what kind of disease it is and how important it is to be able to fight that cancer,” Schriner said.

14 campus groups participated in the event. B-Strong is the name given to Bretta’s personal fight.
