A.J. Reed thinks he’ll be picked as hitter in 2014 MLB Draft

We are just over three weeks away from the 2014 Major League baseball draft. One name that keeps being mentioned is former Terre Haute South star A.J. Reed. He’s being projected as a top 50 prospect in the upcoming MLB draft. Baseball America has him projected going in the first round, 33rd overall. The Kentucky junior is the favorite to win this years college baseball player of the year. Reed is 9-2 on the mound, with a 2.30 ERA. Its his bat that’s drawing the biggest attention. Reed currently leads the NCAA with 21 homers and is fifth in the nation with 63 runs batted in.
