On Friday the Econo Lodge at 401 E Margaret Ave was declared condemned after the water was shut off.

Chuck Ennis, Terre Haute Building Inspector, reported the business was informed at 8 a.m. on Thursday that their sewage bill was overdue. They informed the business that if they did not make good on that bill, the water would be shut off.

The Econo Lodge had until noon on Friday to pay that sewage bill. Water was shut off to the business.

Condemned signs have been put up at the business by the Terre Haute City Building Inspectors Officer.

News 10 spoke to a resident of the Econo Lodge. This resident stated they are waiting until 4 p.m. to see if the water will be turned back.
