Late night fire destroys three buildings


BICKNELL, Ind. (WTHI) – A late night fire destroyed three buildings in Knox County.

It happened just before Midnight Sunday night in the 200 block of Main Street in downtown Bicknell.

Bicknell city police say the buildings housed the senior citizens center, an insurance business and was also the temporary home for an Indiana Department of Transportation office.

Police say a person passing by noticed smoke and called for help.

Several fire crews from the area battled the fire including Bicknell, Vigo Township, Washington Township, Oaktown, Busseron, Vincennes Township and Vincennes City.

A cause for the fire has not been determined.
