Washington, Ind. police working 2 stabbings

WASHINGTON, Ind (WTHI) – Police in Washington, Indiana are working two separate stabbing cases.

The first happened at 12:30 Wednesday morning. Francisco Lopez, 28, showed up in the Daviess County Community Hospital ER. Doctors treated him for a stab wound in the neck. Police believe it stemmed from an incident that happened on a home on West Main Street in Washington.

He was released from the hospital

Meanwhile just over an hour later, police say another stabbing victim walked in the same ER. Larry Saulsberry, 29, was the victim in that stabbing.

Someone had stabbed him in the shoulder.

Police believe it happened at the intersection of Front and Greenwood Streets. Saulsberry received treatment and was released.

Police said both stabbings are under investigation, however, they stress they are not related to each other.
