Flash mob for a good cause at court house

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Folks at the Vigo County Court House got a nice surprise Friday afternoon.

A group of Wabash Valley kids performed a choreographed dance routine.

It was all in the name of bringing awareness to children’s mental health.

Terre Haute mayor Duke Bennett was also on the scene.

He gave a mental health proclamation.

Organizers say its important children realize its ok to ask for help.

“There are safe places for kids to seek services. You know we’ve got the Hamilton Center Child and Adolescent Services. But there are other therapists and providers in Terre Haute as well. There are safe places for families to go and to be able to get some services. And have that negative stigma be dropping away,” Missy Burton from the Hamilton Center said.

May is National Mental Health Awareness month.
