INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – “The Spirit of Liberty Foundation’s Freedom Bell” is part of a special event for “Legends Day” at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

On Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m visitors can ring the Freedom Bill to honor a family member who is in the military or any Armed Forces. After ringing the bell visitors will get a certificate showing they participated in the ceremony.

The bell is made up of steel from the Twin Towers.

Similar ceremonies were held around the nation in 2014, giving Americans a chance to ring the Bell. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
