TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Several people in Terre Haute took to the pavement to honor the nation’s brave men and women.
Terre Haute Parks and Recreation Department hosted the 3rd annual Memorial 5K.
Deming Park was packed with runners of all ages.
Kids crowded the starting line for the one mile fun run, while others laced up for the 5K competition.
“Its great to remember them, to remember the families that have been left behind and so this kind of gets people out in the park and they get to enjoy running a race but they also get to remember and have a little ceremony to remember what Memorial Day is about,” Parks Department Alysha Kesner said.
