TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – It was a big day for the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.
On Wednesday, the office promoted two patrol deputies to the rank of sergeant.
Both Deputies Brent Hall and Rory Leech have been with the office for several years.
Sheriff Greg Ewing says he’s happy with the merit board’s choices.
“You like to see your people take on those leading roles. And that’s exactly what they’ll be doing. They’ll be out in the field. They’ll be answering the questions that deputies may have on a day to day basis,” Sheriff Ewing said.
Sheriff Greg Ewing is now in the process of filling the vacancies the deputies formerly occupied.
