Wrongful death lawsuit filed in Sullivan daycare fire case

SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTHI) – The father of a young child killed in a daycare fire in Sullivan has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the business.

The fire occurred in the early morning hours of March 4 at the Waterman’s Wonderland Daycare. 17-month-old Emma-Lea Lloyd died as a result of smoke inhalation.

No one else was injured.

Investigators believe a baseboard heater may have caught a nearby couch on fire. George Lloyd is requesting compensation for the loss of his daughter.
