Southside construction causing business problems

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Some southside Terre Haute business owners say road construction is putting a crunch on their business.

Highway crews are working US Highway 41 south in front of the mall.

Besides causing a bit of congestion, it’s also making it tough for drivers to get into businesses.

One business owner says the road work is a nice measure but the sooner it’s finished the better.

“There’s not much we can really do about except wait until its finished, not sure when it’s going to be done, / just be patient, it’ll be done when it’s done I guess,” said Nick Broome, manager of General Nutrition.

The Indiana Department of Transportation expects work in this area to finish at the end of August.
