Celebrating National Trails Day in Indiana

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Saturday was the official National Trails Day in Indiana.

We join states across the country in this day. It celebrates U.S. trail systems and its countless supporters and volunteers.

Officials say trails stimulate economic development and enhance quality of life for Hoosier families.

Indiana offers more than 3,000 miles of public trails to enjoy.

Here in Vigo County there are several including the Wabasihiki Trail in West Terre Haute.
